- Adjustable pedal extender (footstool) : Young students may need a pedal extender/footstool for proper posture and to use the piano pedals.
- Adjustable piano bench (X style legs) : This bench is the best value in price, comfort and adjustability. Proper bench height is necessary for correct posture and healthy technique.
- Classic Pianos in Bellevue : Near Bellevue Square. Ask for Ben Klinger, sales manager (formerly of Sherman Clay Pianos in Seattle and author of "Why We Play") I purchased one of the grands in my studio through him and trust him to help you find the right piano.
- Digital Piano: Yamaha Arius YDP-S36 : A good home digital piano. Higher Arius models are also available.
- Piano Technicians Guild: Tips on Buying a Piano : Great article about purchasing pianos (new and used) and keyboards.
- Piano tuner/technician, Todd Loomis : Todd tunes my pianos at home and at the studio and I highly recommend his services. See his website for great information about pianos and maintenance (tuning, voicing, regulation, touch weight and repairs). Todd also works on harpsichords and clavichords. He built the beautiful harpsichord the resided in my studio for several years.
